Indications that the 2016 budget would be signed by President Muhammadu Buhari before the end of this week, emerged on Tuesday night as both the National Assembly and the Executive, had resolved all the grey areas which had been delaying the presidential assent.
Senate Leader, Ali Ndume, confirmed to our correspondent in Abuja,by 10:30pm, that the budget crisis was over for good and the two arms of government had resolved all areas of friction.
He said,”We have just finished a joint meeting of the executive and the legislature and as i speak to you, a clean copy of the budget is being produced for submission to the president.
“We have resolved all the areas of concern to both parties and we are ready to move forward”
